American Daffodil Society Judging School March 27

The American Daffodil Society Judging School III will be offered Tuesday, March 27. 

The school will start at 8:15 am sharp. Students may enter the meeting room as early as 7:00 am on Tuesday morning for study for the ID test.

There will be a large amount of valuable and interesting information taught in this school. Student judge candidates should plan on being at the school all day; those taking the course for information only will finish by 12:30 pm.

Topics to be covered in School III include:

  • staging and judging three stems of the same cultivar
  • judging species
  • staging and judging collections
  • ethics and etiquette for the exhibitor
  • judging historic and intermediate daffodils
  • judging doubles and multi-floreted flowers
  • exhibiting and judging seedlings
  • growing and judging daffodils in containers
  • hybridizing and growing seedlings

The sections of the school curriculum about historic daffodils and staging collections will be of particular value to those who wish to take the class for information only.

ADS judges are welcome to attend as a Judge’s Refresher.

Detailed information about what to study, a study outline and requirements for judges will be sent after registration is received.
