Flower Arranging 101: Beginning Flower Arranging
Tuesday, February 6, Kent Valentine House

Your first step into the world of flower arranging.  You will learn skills that will make flower arranging easy and fun.  GCV judges and experienced arrangers who are GCV members,  will lead you on a learning experience that will include:  how to choose the right greens and flowers, how to condition flowers and greens so that your arrangements will last, how to work with oasis, how to wire a flowers and much, much more.  You will take home a beautiful arrangement to enjoy and help you remember your exciting learning experience.

Cost $100 includes a box lunch; Class limited to the first 36 members who sign up.

How to choose greens. Line, Face and Filler
How to choose flowers. Line, Face and Filler. Color Wheel Texture
How to prepare and condition materials
How to Tape, Wire, Tube materials

The Principles and Elements of Design
Designing a Classic Arrangement with Oasis. Arrangement will be taken home.

$100 fee includes all flowers, supplies, snacks and box lunch. Attendees will be sent a list of materials to collect for the workshops and suitable containers to bring with them.

Flower Arranging 201: Advanced Flower Arranging
Wednesday, February 7, Kent Valentine House

This workshop is designed for experienced floral arrangers who are seeking to learn additional skills. GCV judges and very experienced floral arrangers who are GCV members will lead you on a learning experience that will include: Handling flowers and greens, wiring, conditioning, basing, massing, bunching, bundling, grouping, layering, pave designs and manipulation of materials. You will take home a beautiful arrangement to remind you of the skills that you have learned.

Cost $100 includes a box lunch; Class limited to the first 36 members who sign up.

Binding and Banding, Clustering, Massing, Bunching, Basing Pillowing, Tufting, Terracing, Layering, Color Grouping, Manipulation of Plant Material: Pruning, Folding, Angling, Plaiting, Rolling, Weaving, Winding or Wrapping, Wiring

Advanced Creative Flower Design. Rules for Creative Designs
Modern European Design

$100 includes flowers, supplies, snacks and box lunch. Attendees will make at least one Creative Arrangement to take home. They will be sent a list of materials that need to be collected for this workshop. Containers will be provided.

Flower Arranging 301: Botanical Arts
Thursday, February 8, Kent Valentine House

Join Peyton Wells of the Tuckahoe Garden Club of Westhampton, a master of the Botanical Arts, which is making jewelry and other items out of natural seeds and pods and painting them to look like beautiful jewels. You will take home the item that you make. 

Cost $100 includes a box lunch; Class limited to the first 24 members who sign up.
